This program provides variety of interdisciplinary degree options for students. Students have the options to enroll in any degree programs related to humanities, Social Sciences and the Natural Sciences. That means students of this program have the option to design and enroll in a degree program that fit their career goals, in collaboration with the students’ faculty.  Students have the option to obtain a Doctor of Philosophy degree, Doctor of Psychology degree and, or a Doctor of Science degree. The Doctor of Philosophy degree is a research-based program. while the Doctor of Psychology and Doctor of Sciences degrees are both capstone programs.

The Doctor of philosophy in Health Sciences and in Technology are the most advance qualification that a student can possess in the Health Sciences and Technology industries. The program is intensive, it prepares students be well rounded and to develop theory and practical understanding of the course. Upon completion, graduates of the programs will be qualified to teach at a higher institution, competent to be industry leaders and to contribute to their communities academically and professionally. The program provides in depth skills, knowledge, up to date knowledge of current practices and effective research skills. The research work and practice acquired by the students will prepare them to be well grounded and rounded for any future professional research projects. Other doctoral degrees that are offered in the programs include the Doctor of Health Sciences and Doctor of Technology (capstone). Doctor of Philosophy programs are -research- based programs.

Doctor of Philosophy (PhD)/Executive Doctor of Philosophy (ePhD)

The primary mission of the Doctoral programs at the Department of Computer Science and Engineering is to develop highly skills researchers, scholars, professors, industry leaders and practicing professionals with advanced skills in computing. It is the most advanced degree program available to students seeking to be industry leaders, scholars, professors and researchers. The doctoral program provides students with the opportunity to conduct advanced independent research under the supervision of a faculty advisor

The Doctor of Philosophy (PhD/ePhD) degree is conferred by the School of Graduate Studies of Cavalla International University in recognition of the candidates’ competence and their ability to investigate computer systems problems, and engineering problems independently, resulting in a new contribution to knowledge in their respective fields of study. The work for the degree consists of engineering research, the preparation of a doctoral dissertation based on that research, and a program of advanced study in Computer Science, computer engineering, electrical engineering and other available engineering programs. The student’s work is directed by the department, subject to the general supervision of the School of Graduate Studies.

The program offers high quality and research-intensive education in Computer Science and Engineering leading to a PhD in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or another Engineering program. PhD students conduct research projects in a variety of areas. A dissertation or a doctoral capstone and oral defense are required for completion. However, students have the option to select a non – dissertation or doctoral capstone option to obtain an Executive Doctor of Philosophy Degree (ePhD), which requires candidates to conduct specialized research and to take an exam.
The Doctor of Philosophy degree program is designed to be completed in 4 years for students enrolled in the standard semester of CIU. The University also has an accelerated track which enables students to complete the doctoral program in 2 years. Doctoral Programs in Philosophy and Religious Studies

The Doctoral program in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies at Cavalla International University (CIU) is the most advanced degree offered by a university. The doctoral program provides students with the opportunity to conduct advanced independent research under the supervision of a faculty advisor. The program gives students the opportunity to conduct advanced research on topics such as Ethics, Philosophy and Religious Studies. Philosophy and Religion make-up one crucial aspect of human existence and, by studying how the ideas that make up these fields were absorbed, inherited, and developed, students can continuously improve their own capacities to think, feel, and express themselves.

The doctoral program in the Department of Philosophy and Religious Studies train students to become advanced practitioners of the study of philosophy and religion—researchers, scholars, professors, industry leaders, religious scientists, philosophers and facilitators of informed public discourse.
